Salerno, War Graves
The British and Commonwealth Graves at Salerno with nearly 2,000 young men buried there. In September 1943 the Allies landed at Salerno, it was a very bloody landing and it took them 3 days to clear the beach, they were the D Day Dodgers who'll stay in Italy.
After walking round the cemetery, I just sat and cried what these young men had sacrifised for our freedom today, it was a very emotional experience, especially since my Dad was one of the survivors.
