Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) summit, 15/08/2021
A day walking solo and the conditions weren't great, but a day in the mountains when I don't reach a summit feels like wasted day, so I opted for a safe (in summer) and well-populated route - the Llanberis Path up and down Snowdon. This was my first ever mountain walk, when I was seven years old, and I hadn't done it since.

'The Llanberis path is the longest route on the mountain. The poor weather has made ‘Alt Coch’ on the Llanberis path a steep, slippery accident black spot. Four concurrent knee injuries here. It’s worth pointing out that once you reach Snowdon summit you’re only halfway there. Saving some energy to stop the wobbly legs is worthwhile. When temperatures drop and the rain comes, your body needs more fuel. Keep feeding the engine.'
