H40:So long as nobody was injured in this photo opportunity, then all ended well 👍
What walks are you planning next?

TrotOn: Good job we had the mince pies later on, otherwise the outcome may have been different.

You wouldn't be able to Stand it if you were too Broad either.

The Dale's version of "Fat Man's Agony", found by H20 👏

(as shown on the 1:25 000 OS map!)

I thought the Hole-in the-Wall was on the path to Striding Edge.

Exactly how is that crossing marked on the OS map?

😂😀😇
May be some grease....may be useful next time....
A most enjoyable walk...despite...all the "climbing "and scrabbling about....
A good test if I want to take up caving ....

🤔😎
Extracted by his colleagues to avoid Mountain Rescue embarrassment.....using the tried and tested James Herriott method of butter and calving ropes 👍
Red hot poker next time he does this

TrotOn: Dry stone wall falls on unexpected hill walker.

TrotOn 12/12/2020 21:16

😂😂😂

I'm interested in how Mountain Rescue might report this incident?

☹🤔
They always seem careful not to apportion blame 😍

TrotOn 12/12/2020 21:10

❤ Ever the mathematician.

Who does he pay to plan such adventures, then claim them as his own?

Nice not to be a casualty of his own walk 🤕

Helvellyn40 12/12/2020 21:09

TrotOn: This was the first of 2 slight detours to the intended route.
The wall also did not sustain an damage in the making of this photo, that may not have been the case if one of our party had got stuck.

top_spot (john) 12/12/2020 21:03

TrotOn: Yes it is H20 and no posteriors were harmed in the making of this picture.

TrotOn 12/12/2020 20:50

😂
I'll answer the question you haven't asked...as you are too nice John.
Is that 1/2 of H40?
If he doesn't get lost on the pasture, he now comes to a halt in the wall.
I presume he was extracted without the use of the red hot poker 🤔
