No offence. You my knowledge is more restricted to certain areas and yes I kept concentrating in one of these areas. I must leave it to the knowledge experts, well done.
top_spot (john): I was thinking it could have been Lochan Fada, but never thought about Slioch, i was thinking on the lines of the Munros in the Fisherfield.
jen1: Jenny to the rescue! Yes it's Slioch from the eastern end of Lochan Fada (Long Lochan). David, I meant no disrespect when saying "that lot", rather that you seemed stuck in that locality while thinking of the answer. It's one of my favourite areas too.
Think it's the back of Slioch from Lochan Fada - the clue was a clue!
What do you mean "that lot".
That's my favourite area of Scotland and I'll drag you back up there to point out the beauty.
Yes, I'm out....help Paul, please?
TrotOn: It's not Cul Mor. It's further south than all that lot. I'll name it tomorrow if Paul hasn't worked it out by then. I think he probably will.
Only small 🍷
Cul Beag to right of small road to Achiltibuie. My error....I did Cul Mor from the road on way up to Lochinver. Is it Cul Mor?
If not.. please name!
TrotOn: Cul Beag is right next to the road. You've had too much 🍷!
Poured 🍷
Good news is I'm in the right area and it's not elsewhere in Scotland.
Are we looking at Cul Beag? I have done it and it's a long, midgy bitten walk in!
I give in.🍷
TrotOn: Sorry, no. The viewpoint is in a remote area.
One last go......Are you near Ullapool looking across the loch to beyond Letters?
TrotOn: There are plenty of other big walks in! You were not on that trip. It's not as far north as Suilven.
John, I'm stuck.
A big walk in up there means Suilven to me, but I walked in from the Lodge and it was nothing like this.
I'm stuck....I can't have been with you as I would remember. Most of my walking up there has been solo or with Al.🤔
TrotOn: I know it's quite like Ben More Coigach but it's not around there. Another clue is that it's a big walk in to this viewpoint.
Are you at Ardmair?
If not....it's that coast but I cannot offer any more locations.
Helvellyn40: Sorry, no. It has a very recognisable profile from the other side when seen across another loch.
top_spot (john): I'll try Quinag.
TrotOn: It is a similar profile but not there. The long lochan is a clue.
Are you around Stac Pollaidh?
I thought you are looking across to the Fiddlers mountain?
Helvellyn40: It is a similar profile but it's not that.
I shall make a guess with Ben Mor Coigach.
