gem1000: That sounds more like it tea and cake, we seemed to have missed out on that experience.
Not a great night to be in a tent, not sure if i slept at all.

Highpeakman: We certainly did, the mud was exceptional, and what can i say about the driving rain, very wet. Then there was a glimmer of hope a ferry back to Glenridding, from Howtown, but that was short lived, ferry canceled due to bad weather, so one of those character building days was enjoyed with good friends.

And I had tea and cake with friends at the Aira Force tea room, so I was very lucky. But after that I had to go home too ☹

Helvellyn40: I really didn't envy you on Sat night, it was wild!
