I saw that Roland, was hard watching as they literally filmed a bus but lovely to see the countryside.

On Monday 29 August there was a documentary on the bus from Richmond to Ingleton in Yorkshire, going through Gunnerside and Muker. This was on BBC4 so should be available on Iplayer.

The walk we did from Gunnerside, through Swinners Gill, past Muker and back to Gunnerside, would make a really nice OD walk. The whole area is stunning. There was room for about 10 or so cars at Gunnerside, if you were there early enough.

Helvellyn40: Paul, just sent email to you containing photos from a circular walk around Reeth from two days ago. Let me know your thoughts? It's still a beautiful location, yet isolated for many.🙂

Beautiful area which I have visited many times. I have stayed in Hawes on Bainbridge Ings camp site. Hawes has many shops and eating places and an interesting little town.

You are both correct, Swaledale is a cracking location for walking. Fortunately it's on my doorstep and I walk there several times a year. Paul, there is plenty parking around Reeth and Muker for a group walk. Walked the haymeadows from Muker with KateB a few weeks back and we both felt it would suit an OD walk, except, it's a long way for many members who usually walk in the Lakes or Derbyshire. Happy to advise on locations for walking. Enjoy.😀

Swaldale is stunning, but everywhere I've walked in Yorkshire has been so far. Beautiful county.
I am bit off the fitness level for the C to C, but working on it 🙂

Bramble: I can recommend the coast to coast,did it years ago from east to west, and Swaldale is one of my favorites, keep thinking about doing an invitation up there, but the car parking is limited.

It's a beautiful area, amazing views and was a great spot for a wild camp 🙂

Our path took us a little on the C to C. It's on the bucket list 🙂
