Turnip
In all the years and places ive walked, from lowland wombles to exposed mountain tops weve been lucky not to pick up one of these little fellows......today our luck ran out when Turnip whimpered scratching his ear and to my shock i found this 8 legged blighter. Beware all its tick season and it can carry Lyme disease.....watch out for the bulls eye rash. Take care all

Should you have the misfortune to be come host to one watch out for a red bullseye spreading from the bite. This is a sign to get to the doctors immediately and insist that you may have Lyme disease, also beware that even in this age some doctors have never heard of this !
There has been a Tick alert in Scotland.I have a friend who almost died of Lyme disease, only diagnosed at Birmingham dept of Tropical deceases, almost a year to recover.Happened on the Calf of Mann☹
They are worst in Scotland (probably from deer). Have seen a lateral line of them marching into my tent at Loch Awe!
