You have hit the nail on the head by saying if it were 3ft off the ground. I could walk fine if that were the case, but add the penalties and I would show other, less favourable qualities for completing the walk!
The MTB is great, but I don't possess the skills of many and don't fancy breaking bones again!!
As for adding colour to your photo, I would hate to "soil" or even spoil the vivid scenes, which you capture so well.
I will keep away from the edges, but many thanks and well done to the group.🤔

How about Sharp edge on Blencathra or Swirral edge to Helvellyn. Tilly would love it to ( subject to dress code, and for pets we are prepared for a wider interpretation such as William Morris prints, but please, no McDonalds or other corporate advertising). Beatrix and Tilly on a ridge - what a photo shoot that would be 🙂

TrotOn: if you decide to do it, there is a dress code expected for the photo shoot. Do you have a cyan, magenta, red or green top? A rainbow bandana may suffice, subject to committee scrutiny. 🙂

TrotOn: videos are generally designed to sensationalise. When you are on the ridge you simply work out where your next foot goes. Like I said on the day, if the ridge was 3 ft off the ground would you do it then? Of course you would. Leaders and support from the team can help you to reduce anxiety and lucid imaginations. Attempt the ridge in the summer, when the sky is clear, rock is dry and your body is warm and flexible and I'm sure you could do it. I would be pleased to help you in the attempt or lead you back to the Pyg track.
You are a keen MTB'er, I see no difference in the judgements you make albeit a lot slower on the ridge. Come along in the summer ! 🙂

Thanks all for your praise. A sunny day wouldn't have conveyed the same feeling of the challenge before us. So glad the team turned out in colourful tops, especially Liz's yellow jacket. If it had been windy I wouldn't have stood around taking so many photos, but it wasn't, so I clicked away. You have to seize the moment and hope you can recall the techniques to convey drama in a photo.

Menilmontant: no, it just happened but as you say, the colours contrast nicely with the backdrop, especially Liz's yellow top!
Deblyn: fortunately, there was no wind and the snow was fresh onto dry rock so good for the traverse. We were all buzzing, especially when the clouds lifted at the end of the ridge and we saw Snowdon (other pic on site) 🙂
