Get your point re road ice. I have taken my time to convince myself, but the difference between summer and winter tyres is like night and day, when temperatures are under 7 dog.c.
Try some, decent ones I believe in are called NOKIAN by a Finnish company.
You will never look back AND be safer on the winter roads.🙂

Sorry, didn't mean to play it down. Our 'efficient' county council 'got it wrong' the other night and decided not to grit our roads. On my 7 mile journey home after a night shift ( which took me 50 minutes instead of the usual 10 - due to my lack of experience driving on ice rinks!) i passed 2 fairly bad accidents and there were a reported 69 accidents in 6 hours just in my county!

Busy Boots: It might look that to you, but at this time of year, the paths at the back can be fairly lethal with ice. Tonight, the wind chill is so severe here, the ice is all over at the front also, so I am using the small domestic spikes to avoid slipping over.

Would make a great Christmas Card 😀
