Chris I took the train to Carlisle when I did Hadrians Wall. I was very excited and waved madly to all the walkers. And lovely ladies get on at Settle and sell local ice cream you must have some! 😀
Ha ha Glenn he kindly let us all use his 'facilities'.....
Lovely shot TS; I'm looking forward to travelling on this line on my way up to Carlisle for the Hadrian's Wall walk. 🙂
Nice pic 🙂
Be proud TS, 🙂 I managed the 1 1/2 peak challenge, did Pen-y-Ghent first, then part way up Whernside the weather closed in,so much rain couldn't see in front of us,had to come back down
Good effort TS, I've done 2 this year just need to do Whernside, thanks for more great photo's.🙂
Hi jw19. Actually it's a 3 Peak completion for me in one ................. month! The eventists will not be too impressed but it has allowed me to observe the transition from winter's grip on Pen-y-Ghent on the 3rd to winter clinging on to the top of Ingleborough on the 10th to spring in charge today.
The curve is exaggerated by the telephoto view from the summit of Whernside. The viaduct is about 1.5 miles distant.
Great photo
Another unusual shot TS, last time I was up Whernside I didnt notice the curve of the Viaduct as I was busy going over the Handlebars in the Three Peaks Cyclo Cross!! Lol 😀
