Oh gosh! can't believe you were all talking about this place last year. Glad I was around to partake this year!🙂 And in such great weather!
Unfortunately you can't do that anymore Brookey, otherwise I wouldn't have gone any further on Sunday but stayed and drank tea all day! I will find out what the availability is!
Don't know what it's like now, but you used to have to book way in advance to have a chance of getting a group in. If we can get in, I'd be up for it. Never stayed there, but it used to be open during day if weather was bad and you could pop in and make a brew etc. As you can imagine with my weather record, I've done that a few times
Yes i would also be up for that.Pillar,Gt Gable,Red Pike & High Stile Ridge and may more, the list goes on
looks lovely, milvus can i join you and ruth?
Well, its now managed from Low Gillerthwaite now, so no one there permanently anymore. It has just fallen in the re-structure like many other YHA's.
But maybe we could get a group together and book it sometime late in the year?
What a shame about group bookings only.I am like a slow burning fuse, seeing how the YHA has lost it`roots to "The Fell Wanderers"
Thanks Barbara for recalling some happy memories
They only take group bookings now, that one and Low Gillerthwaite the same.
I want to stay in that one
