Wow....Amazing !

Thank you all. Next time the weather looks good I'll be dashing up north to take my own photo of this!

M1960: I'v done this section of the ridge twice, once in the mist, going south and another time heading north in clear weather, but that was over 20 years ago. I did think it was Ghreadaidh, but from the north.

For anyone who may be wondering about my rather cryptic clue (which I'm sure Stephen didn't need), Sgùrr a' Ghreadaidh is the 'peak of torment'

I did some bits of the Cuillin Ridge (with a guide, needless to say) in 2006, including this part when covering the section from Sgùrr a' Mhadaidh to Sgùrr na Banachdaich. There was poor visibility, which is probably just as well as it meant that I couldn't see the extent of the drops! 😮

It's descending the north ridge of Sgurr na Banachdaidh with Sgurr Thormaid close in front and the twin summits of Sgurr a' Ghreadaidh behind.

M1960: I also think it could be Skye, the col between the 2 peaks has scramble from it to reach the summits, that said i haven't been on the section of ridge that i think this photo is from.

Site Admin: I think I know where this is (and I think you're right with Skye) - as a clue, I'll let your torment reach its peak while waiting for Winter lover to tell us! 😈

OK. Put me out of my misery. Where is it? Not Wales or The Lakes, so I am guessing the Highlands, but apart from Skye I can't think of a ridge that sharp for that long 🤔 ... unless its one of many highland walks I did in thick mist!
