gem1000: We had low cloud on arrival so never saw the mountain terrain on the ascent and we descended way back on the road and walked back. Generally my memory is good ☹

TrotOn: you should have more faith in yourself 😀
Sadly, mine was only a flying visit. I wasn't able to stay long on this occasion but hope to return, possibly next year.
I am glad it has brought back some memories, hopefully good ones, for the three of you 😊

TrotOn: It is isolated, but i think the most isolated village i'v visited in Scotland must be Inverie, not sure that many on here will have been there. I suspect John has though, we walked there from the end of Loch Arkaig, and then ferry to Mallaig.

H40: The place seemed isolated so I'm genuinely surprised you have been too, plus gem1000.
We had a great day on Beinn Sgritheal.

TrotOn: I was thinking somewhere on the west coast of Scotland, but this place never crossed my mind. Only been the once, cycled there when i was 20 i think, and the weather was typically Scottish.

Well done John. I thought it looked familiar but didn't dare guess as I assumed nobody else outside our OD group would have visited.
gem1000: I hope you had a great time there. Thanks for posting. I remembered the scene as we left the car there, but just didn't dare guess. 😊

gem1000: It is. I've had a couple of day visits in the past. It would be nice to go back again.

Well done, John! I thought that you or Paul would know. Such a lovely place.
