Yes. 😂😂
I found Skew Gill quite challenging – it's grade 1, which is about my limit without a guide and a rope. Cust's Gully looked harder – it's grade 2 I believe, and I retreated from the step/pitch. Broad Stand, of course, is grade 3/Diff. I have no experience of winter climbing, and the only proper rock climbing I have tried is top-roping on Southern Sandstone - I was hopeless at it.👎☹
M1960: Fat mans agony.
You did well going up Skew Gill, only been up there in winter conditions, same with Custs Gully, wouldn't advise doing Custs Gully in summer, could be wet and loose, and there is a rock step low down.
What is the gap you squeeze through on the approach from Mickledore called?
Spot on Paul, well done! 👍
Needless to say, I retreated from this point (having already conceded defeat in Cust's Gully that day after struggling up Skew Gill). I then went up Scafell via Lord's Rake and descended to the top of Broad Stand to look at it from above (I'll upload a photo) - I didn't descend it either! 😮
Could be Broad Stand, never been that way though.
