Worcestershire Weekend - Bredon Hill Circular (Walk 2 of 2 )
Sun 13th Oct 2019
Bredon Hill Circular from Elmley Castle
Length (Approx.) - 11.5 miles / 17.0 km
Ascent - 2000 feet / 545 metres
Grade - Moderate Hill Walk
I'm planning a walking weekend in Worcestershire. Both walks are great and this is a bit of an neglected area for OD.
Walk 2 Starts from the Queen Elizabeth pub in the attractive village of Elmley Castle near Pershore. From here we will head up to the Plateau of Bredon Hill to the site of an Iron Age Fort.
The views across to the Malverns from here are incredible (on a clear day). The walk then carries on through the beautiful undulating Worcestershire countryside taking in the sleepy and idealic villages of Overbury, Grafton and Ashton-Under-Hill (pub stop ) on the way. Details etc. may be altered slightly and any changes will be given asap .
Start Time - 09.30-09.45
Start Point: Queen Eizabeth Pub (Elmley Castle). OS grid Reference SO 983412 - Post Code WR10 3HR
