A week walking the Cornish Coast
Sat 25th May 2019
Adele and I are continuing with our annual jaunt to Cornwall to carry on with parts of the South West Coastal Path which we haven't completed yet. We've picked the bank holiday weekend again when the wild flowers are always at their best. Login to Contact the Organiser 'Peregrina'
On Saturday 25th May we plan to walk from Portreath to Gwithian (Godrevy Head). This will be a shortish 'warm-up' walk of 7.6 miles to give our legs a stretch after the long drive down.
Start time is 1.30pm by the Portreath Car Park on the sea front (TR16 4NN) but there should be free parking nearby along the beach road nearby. We will return from Godrevy Head to Portreath by taxi which should be fairly cheap as there are 6 or 7 of us.
The following days' walks are being added as separate invitations with all the details nearer the time but the following is our planned itinerary:-
Sunday 26th - Portreath to Perranporth, 12.4 miles
Monday 27th - Perranporth to Newquay, 12.6 miles
Tuesday 28th to Thursday 30th - We are moving further along the northern coastline to start at Crackington Haven and finish at or near the Devon/Cornwall border. This will be two days walking (approx 20 miles) plus a rest/play/beach day on possibly the Tuesday.
Come and join us for some or all of this adventure. I'll be adding more detailed information shortly.
