After a steady climb up Grindsbrook Clough (which will be a bit muddy/wet in places), we'll walk West along the plateau edge (could also be a bit boggy), passing various interesting rock formations along the way.
Descent will be via an alternative path to the (awful) Jacob's Ladder & the return to Edale will go via some of the Pennine Way.
There's a scrambly section towards the top of Grindsbrook (fairly easy and fun but could be wet - see attached photo from last year), so all things considered, I'd recommend walking boots for this walk, rather than walking shoes.
Poles may also be useful for those who use them.
Expect around 10 miles
