This is the website. https://www.thegrangeholidays.co.uk/

Note there are also cottages to rent here, the site seems to have gone upmarket since my last stay.

Don't worry Doug, you'll soon drag it back down again!!!!

Dougie I am at last getting round to booking a pitch so do I mention your name or anything when booking so that puts us all together or not.

Lazlo Woodbine   on 05/12/18 @ 17:27 said:

I haven't contacted the site yet Mitch. Just book a site. Last time I stayed there you could get two tents on one pitch if they were small tents. I was waiting until the new year before finalising this but if you want to book now that is fine. Are you still where it's warm?

Mitch   on 06/12/18 @ 13:21 said:

Hi Dougie yes it's still 30 ? here in the day and just a little cooler in the night but it will at sometime soon get just that little bit cooler. It's the chill in the air that gets to me in the evenings when I am riding the motorbike.

Mitch   on 10/12/18 @ 12:30 said:

I have pitch 86

Lazlo Woodbine   on 10/12/18 @ 17:41 said:

Take the chance while you can,as this area will be gone in a few years due to erosion.Must visit Bempton cliffs

Lazlo Woodbine   on 06/01/19 @ 12:11 said:

Landranger, the chalk headland will be standing long after you and I are gone. The glacial deposits to the north are in more peril from the North Sea.

Sharon 65   on 20/01/19 @ 20:39 said:

Just done a campsite search and the Grange has some great reviews. 15 min walk into flamborough.

Lazlo Woodbine   on 21/01/19 @ 13:13 said:

15 minutes for mortals, about 5 minutes for ODers. There is a short cut out the back as well.

Lazlo Woodbine   on 22/01/19 @ 15:45 said:

Aww June. Never mind. Anyone wanting to save a bit on camping. I have an 8 birth tent, 4 separate bedrooms so I could put up an extra 3 adults. Cost would then be under ?20 each for the weekend. All I would ask is help with putting up and taking down the tent.

Lazlo Woodbine   on 22/01/19 @ 19:06 said:

That should be 8 berth tent lol. I don't have a maternity ward.

barbp-j   on 02/02/19 @ 18:50 said:

Hi Dougie, please could I have a spot in your tent? I%u2019m afraid though won%u2019t be arriving till Friday evening , 3 hour drive after work so not souseful for putting up tent ?
Thanks Barb

Lazlo Woodbine   on 03/02/19 @ 17:33 said:

Yes barb. That would be fine.

Kate U   on 07/02/19 @ 8:58 said:

Hi Dougie
Please could I take you up on one of your spare tent rooms? I%u2019ve shared a hostel room with Barb previously so she can vouch for my tidiness and lack of snoring...!

Phil H   on 07/02/19 @ 9:47 said:

Could I have a corner of the tent please? I do have my own so could use it if you get over booked.

Lazlo Woodbine   on 07/02/19 @ 13:36 said:

Thanks Kate U and Phil H. Yes you can both have a "room" all to yourself in the tent. See you in June unless I see you before. I will let you know more details later.

I had pitch 95 reserved, then realised I didn%u2019t need the 16amp hookup so just switched to 98 without it. Payment confirms booking but you can do a provisional in first instance. It%u2019s quite a way for me but having visited Whitby, I know it wont disappoint! Thanks Doug for organising this

I've booked Doug, obviously not with the riff raff in the tent section , but I may be tempted to leave the luxury of my camper van for an occasional sing song around the camp fire!!

Hi Sarah , I have a small tent, too small for two ladies but the pitches look big enough for two small tents if they allow it. I believe Lazlo is putting a small tent up on my pitch on Thursday night. He will be in his big tent thereafter. Just wondering if maybe this could be a possibility for you?

The Beer Police   on 24/04/19 @ 23:43 said:

Hi Doug. Would be joining you for the Saturday walk and meal afterwards. Probably couldn't do the Sunday due to work commitments

Barb, it is pitch 83. There is a chip shop, a restaurant and 3 pubs that do food in Flamborough. There is a large co-op as well if you need to buy anything. Maybe down the pub when you arrive. My mobile is 07875263708. Any camping stuff would be appreciated. Remember a chair.

barbp-j   on 20/06/19 @ 7:30 said:

Don’t really have any stuff ! Do you have burner for a cup of tea !

Lazlo Woodbine   on 20/06/19 @ 12:24 said:

I most certainly do. You need a cup and supply your own milk. I drink it without, it's a camping thing.

My new grandson was born fri 14 th a healthy 8lb 10 oz. All was well until Monday night when he had colour changes and collapse of his windpipe. I managed to keep him breathing until ambulance came. Poor parents and me thought our thee day old baby was dying in front of our eyes. He was ventilated and had intensive care until yesterday. Things are soooooo much better now, all his investigations are normal and he is well on the mend with the prospect of a return to good health with no lasting damage. If conditions allow, I will join you all at some point this weekend but just taking it day by day. I seriously need to re set my self and what better way to do it then an OD walk and company

Jill18   on 21/06/19 @ 9:24 said:
