Richmond Park & Wimbledon Common - 9 Miles
Sun 28th Oct 2018
A fairly leisurely walk which follows Ian's Surrey 3 Peaks Walk the day before. So either make a weekend of it for those doing the S3Ps or feel free to turn up for this walk only.
Our walk will connect Richmond Park with Wimbledon Common and include some of the best features of both, such as Isabella Plantation, Pen Ponds and the Windmill. This walk will have to include a short walk through the exclusive Coombe residential area.
Richmond Park includes wide open spaces, as the largest of the Royal Parks at 2500 acres, there are plenty of wide open grasslands and deer herds, all just a stone's throw from Central London, the perfect escape! We're in rutting season so we may even see some deer action
As a top UK site for ancient trees, we'll be immersed, these are just wonderful all year round! Not forgetting the variety of wildlife, so please do bring binoculars if you have them.
