Meeting at Cleopatra’s Needle at 9.30am, and doing something vaguely circular.
It is a rouse to meet folks that might want to come sailing with me out on the Medway. I’ll list that separately.
I’ve been doing 20 mile walks with the ramblers but I anticipate something a bit shorter here.
Warning!
If only one person comes it defaults to a date and I’ll have to buy you coffee crisps and a sandwich. If more than one person then I am exulted leader and you must buy me a hot lunch!

AMAnnMAnnM: There won’t be any more info really, unless the date changes, but if you’re in, and there isn’t an earthquake, the date won’t change.
We will take a consensus of those present and walk as far up one side, and back down the other. I appreciate it’s not terribly original. I would err to go west, but I can be out voted.

AMAnnMRoute walked; C’s Needle, Westminster Bridge, Lambeth Bridge, Regency Cafe, Regency Street, Tate Britain, Tate Pier, Chelsea Bridge, Around the Battersea Park Boating Lake, down and up the Slipway at St Mary’s Battersea, Putney Railway Bridge, Fulham Palace Walled Garden, Fulham Palace, around the Hurlingham Country Club, under Lots Road Power Station, along the wrong pontoons at Cheyne Walk, Royal Hospital Chelsea, Back of Victoria Coach Station, whoops, sorry, Goring Hotel, Royal Mews, St. James’s Park, Admiralty Arch, Charing Cross Station.

Walk leader and Woman X met at the needle at 9.40am and set off upstream. Woman X told walk leader she not looking for romance, walk leader undeterred, managed to ply Woman X with toasty and coffee at 2nd attempt. Tried unsuccessfully to get Woman X to remove shoes and socks and paddle in the river. Then took Woman X to a chapel but she was lucky as there was no vicar present so she has escaped marriage for now. Walk leader is hoping for a role reversal, and to be taken on a serious walk with actual hills???
