The Sandstone Trail in Cheshire
I am thinking of walking the Sandstone Trail in Cheshire from Frodsham to Whitchurch commencing around 28th Feb. Hiking a maximum of 10 miles a day due to short daylight hours and sightseeing along the way. If hiking on my own I would use hotels, hostels, BnB etc along the trail carrying my clothes but if 2 or more wish to walk we can arrange a base and take cars to start and finish of each section. 3.5 days walking. I've found a possible base near Chester costing £150 per room for 3 nights or £200 for 4 nights. Meal deal of £22.50 for dinner, drink and breakfast if desired. The trail follows a raised ridge along sandstone with caves, rocks, castles, views, historic villages etc. As it is in the winter months there would unlikely to be any problem of severe conditions at this low altitude.
If anyone is interested in joining me the hotel can be booked with free cancellation for an additional sum. I can send more details on WhatsApp to anyone signing up. I hope to book my room (or rooms if I use BnB etc) before the end of November which is very early but can be cancelled if necessary.
Please indicate here on OD if you are able to join me or would like more information!😀
