Report meet

Monday 21st - Friday 25th September
I will be doing a recce of this amazing area ready for a potential break next May there, with some of the W.I.L.D gang and hopefully other OD folk too (some Wilders are on OD, some not)
This is an amazing area, from what i see and from what some in the know have told me.
There’s so much to do! Far too much to mention here except to say…
Coastal Walks, caves, castles, lochs, cycling, DDay History, mountains..yes a Corbett to be precise called The Merrick..843m high (thats 2,766ft in ols money) plus others around it, cute towns including Scotland’s very own Book Town that is Wigtown…can do a bit of reading too if there’s time..but there won’t be!
Is that enough? Woop!
Based around said Wigtown, this recce will try and see a bit of everything on offer..
I’ll be staying at Garlieston. A smashing
Village with a pub and a caff and a glorious harbour. It also two, yes TWO campsites! Plus a fair bit of accommodation around on Booking.com and Air BnB as well.
So come on everyone..get ticking the ‘Yes definitely’ box! I might let you off a ‘maybe’ ..but not for long! 😁
It’ll be a blast..our trips always are!

Sorry I can't join you Clare and the others that are going. I'm sure you'll have a great time and come back with lots of ideas for our group trip to Dumfries and Galloway next May.
