Alternative Lakes Break- Sun 29 March- Thur 2nd April

Sunday pm 29th March, 3 days, til Thurs 2nd April.
Join me and a few of the W.I.L.D lot (walking in Lakes and Dales walkers) in a different than the usual part of the Lakes. Why not?
This is an alternative to the usual Lakes stuff…although there will be one climb up a mountain (Black Combe) on the Tuesday, i thought i had better add that in.😁
There will be a mix of coastal walks, rspb nature reserve, a Ravenglass to Munchester Castle walk (we may hang about round the castle for a bit if we want) and whatever else i can come up with.
There’s a fab-looking Ski Bar at Haverigg for a meal or two..but i’ll also look round for other places.
I fancied exploring the Lakes coast for a change and looking round this area . Its quite a mix!
I’m staying at Haverigg, arriving Sunday afternoon, 29th.
Be there! The WILD lot are a blast to hang out with ..laughter and plenty of chat guaranteed and we always have a fab time.

If the weather’s ok and if allowed, we’re going to try and have a bbq one evening.
We may even get our instruments and voices out and practice for the Arran sing-song.

This may encourage more interest? 8 going and this is what we’ll be up to on this Alternative to the Lakes Break!=
-Sunday -arrive (some of us) meal together
-Monday - coastal walk St Bees to Whitehaven , train back if its running, if not we’ll do a there and back shortened walk. Meal at St Bees
-Tuesday- Black Combe , either shorter up and down or an extension once at top option.( Both routes have a leader who can take anyone back down who don’t want to do longer bit). Meal at Kirkstanton
-Wednesday - Ravenglass to Munchester Castle ..maybe see the Owls etc. at the Castle and little train back to Ravenglass, or we may do a round walk…tbc

Hi, this trip sounds like fun, do you mind if a dog came along too? I have an old dog and I don't like leaving her. I may not be able to join in on all the activities; it depends on my dog.
