Scottish Borders Ettrick Horseshoe
by A decent but not terribly challenging walk - about 16k with 900 metres of ascent. More details of the walk are at https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/borders/ettrick-hills.shtml with minor detours to ignore some of the wetter ground - but it is a boots route. Find a little bit of wilderness in the Borders.
Starting at 11 to give people time to get up or down, although there is a bothy close to the start.

Lovely weather. With only three of us there and all with running kit we ran the circuit (with a wee bit of walking!) - wet feet by time we wewre back but a very good early autumn day.
Kicking of at 11 sharp - there is henerally no telephone signal in the valley. But it looks as though it is going to be as good day.
