I'm coming up on my own, arriving quite early Saturday and planning to use the camper site John is using.
The camper is a different one, Fiat Mobilvetta, reg R169NFG, the van won't be rocking, looking forward to you knocking.... 😉

JohnH: Alistair is famous concertina and pipe musician, composer, and started up the Folk Traditional Music course at University of Northumbria.
I used to go to many folk festivals in my 20s but not recently.

Also, not knowing much about folk music I'll happily go along to whatever, I just enjoy any music that's well done.

I think I may stay longer as various workshops I'd like to join. And tempted by folk club on Sat night as run by Alistair Anderson who I've known for over 30 years!

I'll look out for your van. I can't always access OD site when away from home for some strange reason. But if I can I'll let you know I've arrived and pitching tent!!

Wild Adventuress: I've just checked my route planner and it's a 4 hour drive for me so like you depending on traffic it'll probably be early afternoon too.

Wild Adventuress: I'm booked in till the Monday when I'll have to head home. As always I'll have my guitar in my van. I've booked EHU for my van so that gives me the use of electic kettle, toaster and microwave so along with my two ring gas stove you are very welcome to use these cooking facilities at anytime.
I intend to get there by lunch time, what time are you intending to arrive, cheers, John.

I've also sent off for the folk week programme and may stay longer with my concertina in hand!

JohnH: thanks, I've had an amazing time!! Knee still playing up a year after the Alps accident but has certainly improved whilst I've been away, and I've managed to hike up steep volcanic island mountains!

I've booked 2 nights at the Abbey field showground. May also stay Sunday night. Just back home after 3 months overseas so looking forward to OD hikes again!

I'm booked in b n b The Windmill Inn, its about 45 mins walk to The Endeavour so expect me to be late.

I've now booked the Abbey Farm Showfield, arriving on the Friday and heading home on the Monday. Let's hope that we get decent weather 🤞😀

I've had a look at the Whitypark site but it's £50 per night for a grass pitch 😨 even in Snowdonia which is expensive £35 per night was the maximum, so I'll have a look at some others

LezW: Thanks, I've been having a look and there's quite a few sites nearby. The only thing that's holding me back is that I'd recent tests at the local hospital and I'm still waiting on the results, so it's kind of depending on these results and what treatment they're going to do that will depend on whether I can make it or not. Anyhoo, I'll wait a wee bit and see, thanks again, John.
