In a word - no.

What dates did you have in mind?

Can't make August, I will be away with my wife then.

Len,you are naughty

I've thought more about this; I don't think it's wise to go abroad with a man who can't finish his sentences. You never know what you'll end up eating for your evening meal!

trekkie  on 09/07/19 @ 10:15 said:

Miss T, isn't that part of the job description for women.... finishing off a guys sentence?

And anyway you get to choose pudding..

trekkie  on 09/07/19 @ 10:18 said:

On a serious note though. I didnt quite understand the original posting.
Would you go away with someone you know from here (or anywhere else)?
Surely where they are from is not the point. It is if you know, like, trust, enjoy their company.
And that goes both ways, male or female.
Or am I missing the point being made?

Landranger, You are correct... but only for a little fun.
Incapacited at present so have to do something ...

Maybe I'm old fashioned but |I always thought the usual order was to meet someone first, find out if you like each other, then ask if they want to go on holiday with you. This seems like the vacation version of an arranged marriage.

trekkie  on 09/07/19 @ 14:10 said:

Lazlp ...watch this space... i am sure that some mindless tv producer will find inspiration for the next (un) reality series. Blind Vacation Destination unknown, the ultimate for adventure seekers...

Arronb1, just a little banter, please dont take offense..I am sure you meant it in a different way.

I thought this was a bizarre question - I mean - who on earth would want to go to Sani beach?? Then I saw Peterk’s proposition ‘cycling around Manchester’ and do you know Sani beach is looking more attractive by the minute!!
Joking obviously!
The answer to the question is - if I met somebody through the site (and I’d only meet up with somebody in a group outing first of all) and I liked them and I trusted them of course I’d go on holiday with them . . . .just not to Sani beach
I’ve enjoyed some fabulous holidays in the last 2 years with some very strange men from OD The women were perfectly normal

PeteK   on 09/07/19 @ 17:38 said:

Glyn2: I'll take that as a No to the cycle ride

arronb1   on 09/07/19 @ 18:04 said:

It was purely a question I wondered about. Would you go travelling on holiday with someone you met from here ?

Glyn2   on 09/07/19 @ 20:34 said:

PeteK - it just made me laugh! I googled Sani beach and thought no chance and then you put 25 to 50 miler around Manchester so it was sani beach here I come!🤣:

Glyn2   on 09/07/19 @ 20:41 said:

arronb1- the people that you meet on OD are exactly the same as people you meet in all walks of life. You meet up for a walk or a scramble (or a cycle ride round Manchester). You talk - get to know people and make your own opinions. I’ve made fantastic friends for life that have been to stay with me. Others I’ve been on holiday with and had a ball! You trust your instincts and only do things you feel comfortable with

arronb1: Apologies if I caused offence with my attempt at humour. (I really should leave that to HPM )

Hi arronb1 the beating down rain makes a sun holiday a great invite???? You might get several people if you put a date up...
If you want a special person to join you then why not go on one of the walks, get to know people and they you...that's the benefit of Outdoor Duo.. You can meet people safely in a group invite and become friends or more.
Don't offer a 5 star hotel fully inclusive straight away as you want to be loved for you not for a free holiday..
Were quite a fun lot as you can tell from the comments... Play safe.. Good luck and enjoy the Raki

arronb1   on 03/08/19 @ 7:16 said:

It was just purely a generic question

Glyn2   on 06/08/19 @ 10:18 said:

arronb1 - do you wish you’d never asked!?🤣
