McGillycuddy Reeks, Killarney, ROI
Does anybody fancy a few days walking in the McGillycuddy reeks, Killarney Republic of Ireland, sometime this summer. It is a beautiful range of mountains and has Ireland's highest peak, Carrantuohill at 3407ft and it is often 'bagged' as the 4th peak after Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis.
There is much to see in the area, lovely star watching skies and delicious pints of the creamy stuff. I've been twice before and I'd love to go back.
There are cheap flights to Shannon from Manchester (other UK airports available) which is less than 2 hours to Killarney, where we'd stay. A 9 seater van should be adequate, and capped for the event.
I'm thinking July or August.
Any serious interest shown and I'll work up the details and total cost.
