My auto-login works fine

Site Admin   on 28/03/19 @ 14:31 said:

Site Admin? Who's he?

I'll check out the auto log in - it uses cookies to identify your device so make sure you have htem switched on, and remember not to tick the box on the library computer.

On the contact form the spam box is directly below the "Click to listen ..." message. Try zooming the screen - it has a fine grey border.

grey_brother   on 28/03/19 @ 22:24 said:

My window has the message "Anti spam code …. type the etc", the wonky letters, the send button and a yellow line. The rest of the page is blank. I don't see any reference to "Click to listen"

Lazlo Woodbine   on 29/03/19 @ 11:06 said:

I am happy to login more often to get rid of that illegible anti-spam box.

Site Admin   on 08/04/19 @ 10:12 said:

grey_brother: Finally I have found and fixed the "remember me" log, but the fix won't arrive until I go live with the newlook.

The spam code eventually disappears as you become a trusted member over time, and therefore known not to be a spammer. Unfortunately the old "remember me" code was not doing this, it was only happening when you logged in. That will be fixed too.

Thanks for the heads up.

grey_brother   on 08/04/19 @ 22:08 said:

Sounds good. Thanks.

Philtheetiler   on 17/04/19 @ 22:11 said:

Site Admin: How long should ticking the stay logged in box do just that ?
At one time moons ago when using a laptop this feature was permanent but now not the same. Have to log in every time I visit the site

Lazlo Woodbine   on 17/04/19 @ 23:13 said:

Have all the same problems. Contacting people is so much harder now. Have to look on invitations to find people. Thankfully that awful anti spam thing has been ditched. Virtually impossible to read the letters some times. Trouble is with software writers is that they don't follow the engineer's maxim, "If it aint broke, don't fix it".

M1960   on 17/04/19 @ 23:37 said:

Same issue with staying logged in for me too.

grey_brother   on 18/04/19 @ 18:07 said:

No change for me either.

Miss T   on 23/04/19 @ 8:39 said:

Glyn nav: So does mine. No problems for me, thanks goodness

Lazlo Woodbine   on 23/04/19 @ 8:58 said:

Why isn't there an icon in the menu taking you straight to your messages? What is the point of the little tick box saying stay logged in when it doesn't do anything?

Site Admin   on 23/04/19 @ 14:20 said:

Lazlo Woodbine: Fixed. You should already have found that you're already logged in automatically.

Site Admin   on 23/04/19 @ 14:24 said:

Philtheetiler: The auto log in should be permanent provided you don't delete cookies. The whole thing relies on a cookie, so if you change your cookie settings or delete cookies you may have to log in again.

If it doesn't work your browser may be set to delete cookies automatically when you close the browser.

Lazlo Woodbine   on 23/04/19 @ 17:20 said:

Yes now logged in automatically, thanks.

grey_brother   on 23/04/19 @ 22:15 said:

Blimey - I haven't changed anything on my machine (as far as I know) ….. and, suddenly, it's working fine. I'm logged in automatically. Hurray …. 3 cheers …… cart-wheels all round! Thanks.

Lazlo Woodbine   on 24/04/19 @ 9:08 said:

So how the hell do I access my mail. If I click on the link on my e mail it sends me to my profile. From there, there is no link to my mail.

Walking On   on 24/04/19 @ 13:52 said:

Lazlo: On a PC, click the "head and shoulders" icon to get to My Profile, then click on Mail & Contacts in the drop-down, then choose which mailbox (sent / received)
