Gatepostgazer: Kev - no alcohol I promise It's been awhile since I've done some walks and each time I catch up it makes me feel very happy. Sometimes we just forget to focus on the good things cos they are what we expect. The welcome that a person gets when they join a walk is often what they remember most from the day and it gets them coming back for more.
P.S. Still sober Kev!

Same goes for me Claudette, 9yrs in Sept. What a great site with amazing people. Must get back to leading more one day walks and reinstating 'Rourkys Bash' weekends away again.

I have been a member for 9 years and it still continues to be a great site. I have made lifelong friends and had some cracking days and weekends. Met my husband on the site 5 years ago which was fab!!

7 years this week since my first OD walk! Met some lovely people that day and many since and even though I don't see some very often I have made some very good friends on this site, which is why I am still here. And yes, another Rourky's bash please!!

Beautifully put Claudette x
Thankfully, I made my leap of faith back in January 2011 and I've never looked back. I might not do as much on the site these days but that's the beauty of it, you're always made so welcome when you return. Yes it's always changing and evolving but that's a factor in its success... friendships made here are quite special x

I indeed agree Claudette, from Snowdoniaโ€™s mystical Ridges that I had often explored alone, I ventured to Manchester Airport one Xmas day afternoon arrived is Lisbon later having met 16 Strangers you being one of them and walked some great routes in Portugal in Sunshine, then Atlas take one, then Imelfie Coast ( Italy ), then Atlas take two top of North Africa, with a few Mines,PotHoles, Castles, and Many Strangers along the Way. Splendid ๐Ÿคซ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐ŸฆŽ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜˜
