Adventure of a lifetime ?!

I am considering selling up and taking a career break and going to do some travelling,possibly do some conservation work,voluntary work along the way.Looking at Western Australia and/or New Zealand.<img src='theme/emoticon_smile.png' /> Has anyone done or is planning to do anything similiar and what were your experiences?Any websites,advice appreciated.Might help me make my mind up??

Hi Ally, My son went out to Oz last Sept with Oz Intro, who find you a job and place to stay etc so worth looking into? I am soooo jealous wish I could go, but definitely something you should do, go for it girl! <img src='theme/emoticon_smile.png' />

Hi, Spoke with mate you being doing work in Laos. His wife fixes metal detectors for collecting un-exploded ordinance-not a holiday! Apparently VSO places are sort after so apply early. Heres alternative on the way to Aus surf. Save apes instead of humans. How about Stargazing in the canopy of the Borneo rain forest? or have you had enough of apes!<img src='theme/emoticon_smile.png' />

Hi, My Mum is doing a New Zealand tour (6 weeks)at the moment North & South Islands. They went via Fiji on the way & swam with mantor rays. Having a brill time. Personally I would also go to the Great Barrier Reef. How about volunteer work in Indonesia, New Guinea or in that area - only an idea. The main charities should have info.<img src='theme/emoticon_smile.png' />

Have you thought about Africa or India,there are many areas desperate for volunteers.However i suppose that the view over Sydney Harbour is more appealing than a shanty village where there is no running water<img src='theme/emoticon_smile.png' />

Havnt done any voluntary work in NZ but have visited 3 times touring both north and south islands
