Does anybody wear any sealskinz products when out and about and how do you rate them.
I was browsing in my local outdoor shop and happened to try on one of there beanie hats.
It sounded like it had a plastic bag sewn inside,the socks sounded the same.
The shop assistant was singing there praises but
I wasn't convinced.
Any thoughts?

Don't be so lippy Rourky, I do not and never have had holes in my socks, one has to keep up one's appearances! Have a good weekend with the dog!
Yes Ali, but yours have got holes in, where your humungus big toe pokes through. Not a good look.

Rourky I don't know if its a good or bad thing that they don't come with the Liver bird on them ,but as you are the site sock maestro I will
bow to your superior knowledge in this subject and endeavour to purchase a pair asap.
Hey Snickers, you know uncle Rourky always knows best. I may not say much on herenowadays, but what I do say are shear pearl of wisdom matey, shear pearls.
Fresh Air me old mate, as from Oct 5th you'll have to pay for those plastic bags, so best get the socks instead, they are really good but unfortunately dont come with a Liver bird on them though.
Does the plastic bag sound of the liner cease to be as noisey after the socks/hat/gloves are washed?
I think it would drive me mad if it didnt.

Have Mountain bike gloves, mits and walking socks all top stuff, never had a problem yet.
No LR66 all manmade materials & wool, the seals are safe.
Thats why I asked Ruth, I have heard different things about them, mostly negative I have to say.

Dont go there, I bought a pair of gloves, supposed to be all singing and dancing, warm waterproof, they cost me £25. They didnt keep my hands warm so I complained in one walking shop and was told you need a pair of glove liners, so that was another £6 spentand they didnt stand up to the waterproof test either<img src='theme/emoticon_unhappy.png' /><img src='theme/emoticon_unhappy.png' />
