Campsites in Cornwall

Seeking advice again. The last time I did this on Offa's dike showed it wasn't feasible to do it unless you were prepared to live the spartan life. Something I gave up in my youth. The combined wisdom and experience of OD members is now required. I am looking for a campsite with the following criteria.
1) Must be within walking distance of a pub.
2) Must be within reasonable distance of real shops, not the "rip off a camper shops".
3) Must have decent showers and toilet facilities.
4) Must be reasonably flat.
Near a beach would be advantageous.
I thank you in advance for your suggestions.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will look in more detail when I return from St Oswalds.

Hei Lazlo - I have just the place for you (honest). An old friend of mine (member of the CBC underground mine exploring crew) has a camp site in Ludgvan - Ash Farm Campsite just outside Penzance. It has a great shower and compost loos - really good and recommended.

Hi Doug. I can definitely second Tinaโ€™s suggestion of Henryโ€™s but obviously depends where you are. The afore mentioned is on the lizard. For the roseland peninsular I can definitely recommend treloan holidays near porthscatho...

I stayed on this site some years ago. Quirky - unisex facilities in containers with radio playing through speakers - but well looked after and nice people. Two pubs!

If he can find somewhere it would mean another brilliant week away for all the people of OD. Great idea.

If you are in to wearing a hair shirt and don't like people maybe you are right HedgeMonkey. I have done all that in the past and I can assure you it is overrated.

Hi Lazlo Woodbine. But why would you want a'campsite' with:
1) Must be within walking distance of a pub.
2) Must be within reasonable distance of real shops, not the "rip off a camper shops".
3) Must have decent showers and toilet facilities.
4) Any kind of shops....
???
Surely wild camping in the middle of no where is much nicer.... even a beach in the middle of nowhere.....

Forgot one other criterion.
5) No midges, gnats, mossies or other blood sucking pests.
