Pictures - landscape and portrait (just 4 Sprite)

if - like Sprite - you have portrait pictures rotating to landscape then please check your camera settings.

I recently did a site update that uses the rotation info off the EXIF data written into the photo file by the camera. It tells the upload what orientation the image was when taken, and the upload rotates accordingly. If you have the oposite problem of portait image uploading into landscape either there is no EXIF data to use to rotate, or the EXIF data is wrong. ☹

I am guessing I just need to load the pics as they come off my camera as I often need to change them to portrait etc. It seems the ones I changed in picture manager are the ones with the problem. No other settings in my camera I could find .. thank you 🙂

Hopefully it'll all make sense at some point.

I get the feeling this subject is being over exposed 🙂

Thank you Site Admin 🙂 🙂

Absolutely no idea what you mean but will have a play with my camera settings and do some googling. By the end of it I expect nothing will work on my camera anymore 😀

I have a camera that is so clever it makes the leaning Tower of Pisa look straight 😈

p.s. if you have your GPS switched on your camera (or camera phone) it will plot the image on the map automatically.

... thus look at the camera settings and get it to write EXIF data, or check your PC based image viewer that it isn't set to change the EXIF data.

I hope that makes sense! 😋
