Smart feature. Brings the service to life. I think mixed messages are half the fun. It's just a shame that we don't have a better and more friendly attitude to dating in this country.

It's usually a names to faces thing with me as well, when reading the great forum threads and seeing if anyone's posted anything new in the photo gallery. All great features of a great site. Not sure you need a wink button- an introductory email shows more of a genuine interest I think

I look at peoples profiles all to time to see who has written something, there are so many people on here, Its difficult to match the name to a face sometime. Not all the profile names are obvious which sex you are also, unlike me, I'm not that original! When you use facebook the face or profile are shown at the side of your comment, so you have a better idea. I enjoy reading some of the comments on here, they can be really funny. Its a good indication of the type of people who use this site - those with good senses of humour and like to enjoy life. Looking forward to meeting up with some of you soon

I'm the same, nosey plus putting a face to the name, but I also look at the person profile to see what interests they have ie walking, climbing, bike riding etc

Hi All. Well, mixed opinions here ...

I have spent the weekend chewing it over. I think overall it is more useful than not. MB I am sure if people are organising something then it is understandable that potential joiners will check you out, and you check them out back. Besides you have a great profile pic so no need to hide! (I had to pick one with sunglasses so that I didn't have to airbrush out the wrinkles.) Some sites have a "wink" feature. Is this a useful idea?

I've been doing very much the same, looking at people who are going to an event in order to hopefully recgonise them. Amasing how may have now looked back!!! Jopo if Mountainbreeze was going by how you look in your profile he certainly wouldn't of accepted me.Just didn't want to do the, what appears to be normal, outdoor or posed photo.

Thought about this and I think it could give mixed messages to people when all they want to do is put a face to a name. Only my PO don't know what other people think.
