My Lake District walks tend to be spontaneous; decided either the evening before or sometimes on the morning of the walk. Since I thought it would be unlikely to suit most people on the site I have not advertised any but a few of you have told me that you would like to hear about a walk being planned for the following day. With apologies to those for whom it's not convenient I'm thinking of walking up Dove Crag & Hart Crag from Bridgend near Patterdale on Friday (19 August). For those heading to Horton for the weekend I aim to have an early finish (and therefore an early start!) I will confirm in the Invitations section tomorrow if the weather forecast is still OK.

Hi Brookey,

Thanks for the reminder about the weekend. I am not coming this time but will hopefully manage to get to another meet before long. Thanks to all of you for the encouraging comments.

Hiya TS.
I tend to do the same as you if nothing planned, so if you are heading to Lakes for day walk and I'm free I be happy to join you.<img src='theme/emoticon_smile.png' />. You're welcome to join us in Yorks Dales @ weekend for day. Saturday be doing Ingleborough from Horton and Sunday Peny Ghent, again from Horton. I imagine we'll be setting off 9.00- 9.30 both days.
See you soon.

Hi Topspot

I'm at Horton but yes it's nice if you don't mind company for you (or anyone) to post spontaneous walks. You may not get a lot of takers per walk but the effort is always appreciated (at least here). Everyone loves a good friendly walk

Have a nice walk
