South Downs Saturday's walk

Early start leaving by 8.30 from the YH, this will give us plenty of time to enjoy the walk. Long stop at East Dene, 5 mile mark, pub, tea room or relax on village green. Total walk 12 or 15 miles with another stop at Alfiston on way back to YH.
If anyone planning to join us for the day let me know so can arrange where to meet.

Hi John, I'm coming down early tomorrow morning for the Saturday walk and would also like to join you for the evening meal in the Smugglers. I'll park somewhere nearby as you suggested and walk to the YH - hope I can find it! I'll text you if I have any problems and you can start without me.

Hi John, I'll try and be there on time on Saturday and you can't miss me....I'll be the one with the pink jacket lol. I would love to join you at the Smugglers on Saturday evening also. Many thanks

If anyone doing Saturday's walk wants to join us in the Smugglers Sat eve for a meal could you let me know please.

If you park at High and Over and walk back down the road to the yh will take about 5 mins, but no pavement. We will leaving by the front door, so will meet outside, will have a good look up and down the road before leaving.

Hi John, just worked out how to get there on Saturday. Will see you 8.30 at the Youth hostel and park in the High and Over. See you saturday🙂

Think the best idea would be to park in Alfiston and walk up the main road to the yh (a good 20 mins)You can park in the long term car park which is on the left as you enter Alfriston or North Rd if you want free parking.
If all goes to plan we will be leaving the yh at 8.30.

Thats right Keith, or 20 mins if struggling up the hill after a night in the Smugglers🙂
Might be a good option to park in Alfriston and walk up to th yh as we will be passing through Alfriston at the end of the walk.

Alfriston YH, Frog Firle, Seaford Rd, BN26 5TT
If your joining us for the Sat walk the car park at the yh won't be an option.
If you drive past the yh there is a free car park on the left at the brow of the hill (High and Over)Can come and get you or you can head down the hill and meet us on the bridge at Litlington.
Keith, another option would be the car park opposite the Seven Sisters Visitor Centre BN25 4AD
will be there about 9.30am.
