So sorry this has taken me a week to get back onto the site and add my thanks to you Chris for a great weekend, and to you Glen for Saturdays walk. It was great to meet everyone.๐Ÿ™‚

solar-powered foghorn I love it๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ™‚

Carpe Diem! 16/08/2013 08:08

..to in your new, farcical rankings. Thirdly, with regards to Catwalker - once a Sea Wench, always a Sea Wench. I have seldom observed a more sorry excuse for a member of the "pirate" clan - a human embodiment of shambolic profanity. Finally, I am stunned, yes, STUNNED, by your absurd decision to promote 46YearsYoung who was as much use as a solar-powered foghorn (another piece of equipment he lacked). Guzzler I feel that you now need to do the honourable thing and retract your preposterous, hair-brained re-rankings and retire shamefully to Macclesfield. ๐Ÿ˜ˆ๐Ÿ˜ˆ๐Ÿ˜ˆ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‰

Now back on dry land let's all spell and speak frankly and correctly and, Star Guzzzler, I reall need to take umbrage, yes UMBRAGE, with your latest barrage of your ridiculous, comical list of "promotions" and "demotions". Firstly, and MOST importantly, I didn't shout "Get off the Lake" at anyone; my ACTUAL phraseology was " Let off the hake". Always a favoured fish of mine, several craft had members of this delightful species dangling, yes DANGLING, at the end of various lines and bits of rope - very unfair and in need of my well-timed and wholly appropriate admonishment. Secondly, whilst Matt, at times showed a firm jaw, he didn't, sadly, cut the mustard as someone whom I could defer

Just back from the Cape...Thanks guys for the kind words. Special thanks to the walk leaders๐Ÿ™‚
However the Lake Wardens have insisted we do not re-run this event after receiving at least 3 complaints from sailors & tourists:
1. Carpe Diem!; For shouting & waving 'Get of the Lake' to sound fellow sailors whilist not dressed as a pirate, DEMOTED TO BILGE BOY!
2. Matts My Name; for making a small japanese tourist boy on a lake cruise, burst into tears by shooting him with a machine gun. He didn't think it was a toy, DEMOTED TO POOP DECK SCRUBBER!
3. Catwalker; using language unfit for even a female pirate & behaviour like a character from the film Goodfellows, DEMOTED TO SEAWENCH!๐Ÿ™‚

Wow what a weekend !! this has to be one of the best OD events yet ๐Ÿ˜€ Lots of fun and laughter from start to finish ๐Ÿ˜€ A very big thanks to Chris (stargazer) for letting everyone use his family boat 'Selkie' for crazy pirate adventures on Lake Windermere even if we terrorised some of the ferries that went by ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€ Its was great to meet up with lots of new faces and also the ones I know so well ๐Ÿ˜€ The walks have been great and really lucky with the weather too making this weekend one of best yet ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€

Yes thanks Chris you are truly a star,... a weekend i will never forget. I havent laughed so much in ages and with such lovely people. Catwalker has har dark side and should never be given a gun or a cutlas. And well done to Mary she tried running (Mat said for the first time ) and found she wasnt too bad at it. Bimbilly found her sea legs but lost them again, and for myself I have requested a new liver Thanks again ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ™‚
