alfred's tower three counties walk and stourhead
hi thinking of organising a day walk 8 half miles in total starting close to stourhead We will walk across the borders of somerset dorset and wiltshire ideally summer walk stourhead beautiful gardens this might be an option the area is steeped in history the most impressive is king alfred's tower which you can walk up with incredible views if any interest i will put it on and preferred dates would make a lovely summer walk couple of ideas for the end of the walk picnic or a barbecue any ideas on preferred dates don't be shy🙂🙂🙂

Misty15hh: at the moment this is only a day walk reference youth hostel association nearest ones are salisbury yha and bath yha there are numerous bed and breakfast in the area🙂🙂🙂

I would also be interested if in the summer. BBQ or picnic after sounds great idea. Would have to stay over as too far for day walk for me. Any good b&b, pub or hostel recommendations would be welcomed.

There are not any day walks in our area so think it should be soon so how about Sat. 26th April.
Good idea Minty, Spring could be good when bluebells are in flower. Can always do walk again in Summer!
