Hi Suz. Great part of the USA.Love to go back one day .You will need a huge chunk of time to do it justice, thats without crossing the border into BC or Alberta. For an unusual place to stay how about a forest fire watch tower! check it out at http://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/r1/recreation/?cid=fsp5_030855
Hope you have a good trip and watch out for the little cute bears 😈

Hi Suz. Oregon and Washington are fabulous with lots of great trekking in a range of sublime scenery. My favourite spots include the Hoh rain forest (Olympic NP), Crater Lake, Smith Rock, Mount Rainier, Mount St Helens, John Day Fossil Beds and the Northern Cascades. I love the red rock areas further south too (Sedona, Bryce etc) but the Pacific Northwest is a great destination.
