Deka: promise I will be good ๐ if we make it to the hole in the wall will make good your half pint...
jellybaby: ....And the other half you'll drink yourself. I learnt my lesson at Monyash๐ค
Omg- beta make sure I have a steady hand or it will be half measures all round to prevent spillages lol. ๐
I am more than happy as 'barsteward' - responsible for the drinks๐๐๐๐๐๐ no better job!!
hillmale: I know ...I'm in Ambleside hotel Mon to Wed then hostel till Tues. Wey -Hey! ๐
hillmale: ๐๐๐...see you next week!!
Deka: all qualities Chris admires (and can empathise with..) hence their mention. At least my head isn't shaped like a small turnip... (ha ha - you had to go to a dickshunary!!!๐) ๐
Carpe Diem!: Crapulous..... hangover, sick, thick head. I guess that sums you up.๐๐
hillmale: Glenn - โนI have tried so so hard to be a comely, energetic, crapulous , appropriately -mannered, puckish, diagrammatic, creative, voluble and, it must be said, spasmodic member of the crew. Loyal, upstanding and with a fine head of hair. Yet still Cap'n Stirgrazer seems to relish ignoring my supreme credentials for a senior role on board. Please could you put in a word for me? ๐ค๐๐ค
Vee: oh dear ...thah art as witty as a very witless pork pie and what you truly know about my promotion prospects could be written on a very tiny tiny thingie ๐๐๐(I feel reasonably confident that Chris knows talent when he sees it and will soon come to his senses...)
Bionic Man: wooaahh man - I dinnae 'ave the stomach fuh either yuh "shanties" or yuh inshults to ma dreds. Thah "Rankings" display the leadership charisma of a plimsole ๐
We will sing you the Barnacle Bill song then CD๐
Just thought u dreds would be ideal for mopping up the bilges man๐
Bionic Man: HAPPY???? Huhhhh...โน
OK thanks Spring & AH, please update sat walk invite & I will do the same๐
With regards ships rankings if any body is not happy, there is always Barnacle Bill or Barnacle Belle but you never go on deck or inside, as you will remain on the hull๐๐๐
Meet at Watersedge Inn Friday Evening ~ 7.30 for meet up to arrange car sharing๐
Thanks Suzanne. Yes we need to be walking by 10 and have the least cars the better. We need to leave YHA by 8.30.
Hi Chris. Saturday's walk starts from Buttermere at 9.30 am so I suggest all walkers based in Ambleside meet at the YHA by 8.15 in order to drive by 8.30 or you won't get to Buttermere in time to start the walk. It's a good idea to get to Buttermere early because there are limited car parking spaces. Over to you and Al to decide and advise everyone though..I'm only trying to help ๐ x
Vee: I don't understand why you're sounding so smug...you obviously haven't heard what we do to the Boatswain ....๐๐๐
Morningdawn: I disagree with V - once a scrubber, always ALWAYS a scrubber...๐๐
Vee: you're just suckin' up to Chris by jumping on the let's-bait-the-bilge-boy bandwagon. It's SO yesterday's news.....โน
Carpe Diem!: Your upset !!!! Seems I'm now classed as a scrubber ๐ค
I've got my weekends mixed up, I'm working on Saturday but I'll to walk on Sunday. Are you still meeting at Waters Edge on Friday evening?
Deka: he had the military acumen of a biro... Anyhow just because you've got a large hat it doesn't make you a great leader ๐
Carpe Diem!: Drunk or not, he successfully managed 10,000 men. Marching them up the hill and back down again doesn't come easy.
Deka: "successful"???? Thah were about as successful as a drunken Grand ole Duke o' York ๐
Deka: huh ..thah boots reek๐ค๐
Carpe Diem!: Having retired as Admiral after a successful voyage last year, Quite clearly, the powers that be do not think you are capable of filling my boots. Carry out your duties as Bilge Boy for a further year and who knows you maybe promoted to Poop Deck Scrubber in 2016.
Bionic Man: โนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโนโน:
Bionic Man: "bilge boy....BILGE BOY????" This is exceptionally disappointing - I know that you have not forgotten the embarrassing cockatoo incident but I feel that I have moved on since then with vigour. I also feel that, yet again, I have been blatantly over-looked, whilst people like Decka have been given grossly over-inflated status. I will still come but won't be speaking to anyone and will deal with my own catering. Thanks for nothing. Yours, sulkily Carpe D
Vee (Boatswain) Carpe Diem! (Bilge Boy)๐๐๐
Sunday Crew:
Jacktherussell (Gunner) RuthieA (2nd Lieutenant) Dimps (Captain) KathT (Ships Surgeon) Morning Dawn (Poop Deck Scrubber) Rourky (Navigator) Fell Walker (Royal Marine)
Anybody missed will be promoted to 2nd Admiral of the Fleet๐
