Wednesday Fun with Deka

04/11/2016 18:30
by CD Carpe Diem!

With Deka we started our walk in Lyme,
I tried very hard
to keep them in line,
but to no avail...
they ig-nored my pleas!
'Twas be-yond the pale
(I begged on my knees).
I tried to count heads,
they laughed in my face,
or-gan-isation all over the place.
The sheep in the fields,
the cows in the corn
were better behaved...
(I felt so forlorn ☹)
but put on a smile
at those autumnal shades,
that come to the fore,
as Summertime fades,
the browns and the oranges,
a tangerine hue,
emerge from their sleep
to en-trance our crew.
We whistled and walked,
and laughed on our way,
yes thanks to our Dek,
a quite wonderful day!

Deka: I didn't say YOU weren't well organised! 😀.... meant the rest of the gang 😋 ..and you know how much I love having my head in the clouds...🙂🙂🙂

Thanks everybody for your comments. A brilliant day for walking with not a cloud in the sky. Apart from that is, the one Jonathan had his head in. "or
-gan-isation all over the place". Sheep and cows better behaved. How dare he.😈

Thank you Deka for a look around an area I have driven through so many times but never stopped to look. A great day, good to see you all. Loved the poem Jonathan. 🙂🙂🙂.

A grand day out, Deka. Nice walk, lovely weather and a great bunch of Wednesday Wanderers as usual. Was good to meet up with my Camino compadre again and Jo's biscuits were up to her usual superb standard.

Thanks for organizing such a great day out Deka and such a contrast to the Bollington walk via Lyme Park last January. Hard to believe we're only two months away from one of the wettest OD walks I can remember.
