So sad to hear the passing of Dave who i first met over 6 years ago. The zest for life that he had transcended to everyone in his company, Never forget how he was Dancing with an inflatable Doll at a pre Christmas party at Coniston and somehow attached it to me without knowing much about it.
The happy memories you left behind will remain,Go Bless☹

Lovely chap, fond memories of him at the Kielder OD weekend when he taught me how to mountain bike down steps. Cheers Dave, still can't bloody do it.

I met Dave a few times on walks up north, lovely guy passionate to enjoy life. I know too he was very close to many of the early members, it's a sad loss for OD but I also send my condolences for his close friends ☹

I'll always remember he went shares on two pies in Malham with me just so I could try rabbit again after 30 years of not eating it and worried I wouldn't like it. 😋 Always made me smile. Lovely memories. Rip Dave.x

I know there are a number of us that are still shocked, stunned, and numb at looking such a lovely kind caring gentleman. We are all richer for having known Dave. x

Met Dave on the Yorkshire Three Peaks trips, lovely, lovely genuine guy. Will never forget our late evening in the bunk house kitchen, Dave trying to teach me to Lindi-hop, I was hopeless and couldn't stop laughing, Dave just kept saying 'be serious now' with his cheeky smile on his face. X

Hi Glen,i know that so well as my Wife of 24 years died in my arms at home aged 46, 18 years ago,but i have many of her drawings and paintings all around our home. That is Jenny`s legacy☹

I'm so shocked and saddened by that news. I only saw him and talked to him a couple of times but he did seem to be a lovely man. Is it possible to ask what he died of because he wasn't that old and should have had lots more life to live ☹

Beautifully put Keith. Dave was a lovely guy with an innate sense of fun. Lots of us will remember his fabulous Lindy Hop dancing but I remember the genuinely warm and friendly welcome he gave me to OD five and a half years ago when he was one of the first people I met. He won't be forgotten and I feel lucky to have met him and been friends.RIP Dave x
