They Seek/I Seek

This is an important part of the search.

For dating your gender preferences are more critical than for friendships. Clearly set the "Who Is Seeking A" option to your own gender, and the "I Am Seeking A" option to your preferred sexual preference.

For friendships you will probably click both of the "Either" boxes, unless you sepcifically prefer the company of a particular gender.

Looking for Relationship Type

If you select "Dating" you will pull up all those who have chosen "Dating Only" as well as those that have chosen "Dating OR Friendship" when setting up their profile. To put it another way; the "Friendship Only" profiles will be removed.

Similarly, if you select "Friendship" you will pull up all those who have chosen "Outdoor Friendship Only" as well as those that have selected "Dating OR Friendship" when setting up their profile. To put it another way; the "Dating Only" profiles will be removed.

Choosing "Dating OR Friendship" here will bring up everyone regardless of the profile choice in this selection.

Can I just remind people that a favourite trick of spammers and scammers is to send their email address in messages sent through the system. They wish to extract you as quickly as possible from the system and open up a conversation with you directly. Generally these conversations will lead to a request for money - disguised as an aged sick mother, daughter needing education, money for an airfair to come and see you etc. Do not reply to emails sent through messages directly until you know the person isn't a scammer.
