Wasdale Show 2017 Cancelled

As I suspected, today's heavy rain has meant that this year's Wasdale Show, due to be held this Saturday 14 th October, has been cancelled.

landranger68:Thanks for your advice, the approach to Seathwaite was without any flooding and the circuit of Scafell Pike was in perfect conditions. The becks were nowhere near full, considering 210mm of rain was measured at Honister the day before.
It was a good decision to stick with the walk!

Sad. I was going to go to the show again with some pals . ..oh well. Next year.

I loved Wasdale 2016....memorable and I'm gutted...but agree it's a good decision.
I am doing Scafell pike with OD members tomorrow...so wish us luck with the water.
Might go in the opposite direction on the long day, just to reduce the slippery sections.

Remember many years ago that the Marquee was blown down,but my tent had 8 storm poles and remained upright.Happy days🙂
