Hadrians Wall Limited

Has anyone had recent experience of this company? I have a wall walk booked with them in September, for which we paid the deposit in March, before the proverbial hit the fan. The final payment is due next week. I have been trying to contact them to see what's happening. They aren't responding to e mails, the land line number isn't working, the mobile number goes straight to voice mail. Has anyone heard anything about them?

Thanks

Cagger thanks for the info. It's all booked and sorted now but hopefully your advice will be of benefit to others who might be thinking of doing it.

Be aware that most of the and restaurants stop serving food by 7:30 PM so if you're not self catering, you need to plan your days walking to end in good time to get into a place selling food. However, what the situation is like at the moment with the virus, I have no idea

When you have had enough then simply walk down to the road which runs parallel – never more than half a mile away and get the bus back to your accommodation. The bus service is great and although there are bus stops, the driver will normally stop in the middle of the road if you simply hail the bus. This is a great way to do Hadrian's Wall because it is leisurely. You are never moving your kit around and you are settled in one accommodation.

I'm not sure what particular benefits this company offered – but Hadrian's Wall is a very easy project to plan.
You can either walk the wall from end to end – although be aware that there is a lot of it at the Newcastle end which by and large doesn't exist if you actually want to see the wall rather than the walk.
A relaxed way to plan it is to find a base at some convenient locations such as Haltwhistle which you can travel to by train from Carlisle. Book your accommodation there – or anywhere else along the route – and then walk from there every day - starting off at your previous days ending point. When you have had enough

Good thing the rumour I heard that the Rt. Hon. N. Sturgeon had taken this over is not true.

If I remember rightly HPM you've already paid me but don't let me stop you from paying me again! Rumours of Hadrian's death have been greatly exaggerated I have now had contact from them, although it take nearly a fortnight 😄

I have good information that Hadrian is dead. Whether his wall company is still going I don't know.

Thanks yes I already checked companies house and it does indeed show them as active. Active in what sense is another matter. Active in ignoring my phone calls and e mails ? ☹

Companies house still has them listed as active. Here's the reference:
