Lake District moved to Peak District
No not appalling map reading, just a dire weather forecast.
Long way to go to get blown so quick phone calls and decided we would go more locally to experience
Brookey Breeze and Damp.
Rearrangements meant a leisurely (late) start.
Mixed weather , mild but feeling very cold in the wind, especially in the brief rain spell on Whin Hill.
Lose Hill had the same sort of blustery weather some of us had experienced a few months ago on Mam Tor.
We decided to skip Mam Tor and retrace steps although we did have to descend through the woods in the dark with Head Torches.
Overall though great views during the day andwith only four of us a reasonable pace and a respectable 18 Km and 1300 Met

Jopo, I can never tell if you are larking about .... but just for clarity, I had posted a walk for LAST Saturday for the Lakes.
It was short notice. The Weather forecast was quite blustery weather (90 MPH gusts) so went to Peak District where it wasn't quite as bad.
I will try and put on another walk with more notice next time.
Wish I could join you all next weekend in the Lakes but I have commitments on Friday Night through to Saturday midday.
Thanks Trekkie for confirming this weekends weather outlook<img src='theme/emoticon_grin.png' />
Don't get it, is this a planned walk?<img src='theme/emoticon_surprised.png' />
