Thanks for the replies folks. I think we have enough interested peeps, so I'll put it on the invitations site.

Wouldn't mind a crack at this if, like everyone else, fitness makes the grade :0)

Hi, ooohhh my first post on the forum !, did this last June on the hottest day of the year. We bivi'd on Snowdon (bottle of red cures all ill's and aids sleep - honestly 🙂 You start walking as it gets light and basically keep going. Won't be able to go on this trip as already committed to do the double crossing (ie. the 3000's twice in 32 hours :-O) for charity and will post on here soon begging donations for the Gurkha's 🙂 but good luck to all who partake and its well worth training for. BTW the record for the 3000's is 4hrs 19 mins and a few seconds - the dvd is awesome and if there was some way I could post it on here I would !

I have always done Crib Goch (sp?) on hands and knees because I am afeared of heights, fantastic feeling once you are across mind and then the adrenalin can start to calm down again.

Put me down for the support team then 😮)

davem 02/12/2010 19:35

Not a problem. If people just fancy just doing a section we've got a ready made support team.

davem 02/12/2010 18:32

The interest looks good. I thought I'd put it up now so people could start to do a bit of training.

I won't need to know final numbers until May , so plenty of time toget the hard graft in.

This has been on my todo list for a while. Will I be fit enough, I don't know. If I don't feel I'm up to the whole think then I'd love to join you for a section of it.

i'd be interested dave have to review in the spring.

Yep - A support team is very useful. A camping chair and a brew in a carpark on the two roads you cross is really helpful, not to mention a fill up of the water bottle. Also, those happy to join you for a section - esp. the last one when tiredness is creeping in..

that'll burn a few calories mate, may well be up for this, but like the others fitness will need to be addressed and if work allows I'll be there.

It's a lot of fun to do this but hard work on the knees and feet, a support team is always useful or am I just too lazy to carry my own brew.

ruth 01/12/2010 21:39

Dave be a gent and carry my bivvy for me 😮)

ruth 01/12/2010 21:30

ok count me in for the camping on snowdon, dont know about the rest though

davem 01/12/2010 21:20

15 peaks Ruth, if we camp the night on Snowdon then get an early start. We can cut the milage down a bit.

It's great to see the sun setting in the mountains.

PaddyJ 01/12/2010 20:32

go on then pal ...

Ultreia (Jo & Alan) 01/12/2010 20:31

Love a challange!!! But this maybe beyond me.

ruth 01/12/2010 20:29

How many peaks are there? 30miles walking in 24hours somehow dont think I cold manage, may join you for the first 15miles

davem 01/12/2010 20:05
