Snow report
We've got about a foot of fresh powder here in the Peak District (Thursday 29 Jan) so it's time to cancel any other commitments for the weekend and play out.
What are conditions like elsewhere in this beautiful country of ours?
Hope you all the make the most of these amazing winter weather. 😀

Great conditions on Kinder today.River kinder totally frozen on plateau definitely worth a visit take your spikes for descent just in case you need them
Should be some interesting conditions on top of kinder now the snow consolidating and the winds are dropping.
Sheffield to Edale running on time tonight and light snow showers forecast for tonight and tomorrow
Ha ha..yeh right. ...weather lovely and sunny at the moment..but its meant to get bad later...roads around Edale have been shut.. ☹
Hi Jill you can ski from your house.
was up Matlock yesterday on bus no problems
Trains should be running ok.Always got to my destination even if a bit late.
There is a problem here in lowly South Staffordshire as the A53 & Rushup Edge are closed.Any idea if this will improve tomorrow☹
Had more snow here last night.about a foot deep now..!!!.....and evidently more to come....from Buxton..there would be no way i would be able to get to Edale
Pear Drop (Sarah): I know both routes.Don't envy you but hopefully conditions, gritters and snow ploughs will be in your favour.
Deka: I think I might try to come by train, gonna keep an eye on the forecast - by car I either have to come over Holme Moss or its a right long way round. Really want to play out anyway!!!
Pear Drop (Sarah) Hoping to get the car off the drive by Saturday and join you at Edale for Andy's walk.
We had one heavy snow shower in the afternoon. It left a covering on the grass and cars which has now frozen.
Couple of inches of pathetic slush in Halifax - hoping to get to Edale on Saturday if the roads are ok down there, bit worried about my usual route out of Huddersfuddle though 🤔 🙂
It snowed early morning in Southport but all gone by 11
