Hi Dale.... great invite. A group of us girlies did this early August based in Eyemouth. It was so beautiful we booked to go back over the New Year period too, only this time further down exploring from Amble
It is a little gem... enjoy x

Dale   on 21/10/18 @ 8:12 said:

Oh hello Debbie x I’m hoping to do a walk from Beadnell to Craster and back. It’s a lovely 11 miles whichever way you do it. There’s a pub in Craster and a gorgeous place to eat, drink and soak in the beauty at Low Newton by the sea. Maybe we could meet up. That would be great !!

Dale   on 21/10/18 @ 8:15 said:

Btw the Ship Inn in Low Newton is also a micro brewery

landranger68   on 21/10/18 @ 8:35 said:

Yes a beautiful Coastline walking the Reivers Way and St Oswald's Way. Enjoyed fresh Crab sandwiches at the Ship Inn.
You will be quite a way from attending the Tar Barl at Allendale on New Years Eve

DebbieJ   on 21/10/18 @ 8:47 said:

Thanks Dale, that sounds like a lovely walk. We haven't made any plans yet though ... just the eating and drinking ones!!!
I'll keep in touch x

Dale   on 21/10/18 @ 11:08 said:

It really is Landranger and those crab sandwiches are rather special. Are you going to Allendale, another beautiful place up North. Maybe an invite for next year eh ?

landranger68   on 21/10/18 @ 14:49 said:

Oh i did not mention the quality of the Beer, I was staying at my Brothers in Durham, but unsure about this year, but that is worth considering for next year.It is the only Town/Village where i have been locked out of a Pub,it really was,one out and one in.I can picture of all those flaming Barrel`s of flaming Tar being thrown on to a Bonfire, sending flames and debris over anyone near

Indiana Jane   on 21/10/18 @ 20:35 said:

I've just booked in to the Lindisfarne Hostel for the nights of 29th to 31st inclusive, so I'll see you there. Though I reserve the right to cancel if there are good snow conditions in Snowdonia.

Dale   on 21/10/18 @ 20:49 said:

Totally understandable Indiana Jane, but so lovely if you join us..... and you too Manners, always enjoy your company

Dale   on 21/10/18 @ 22:33 said:

Ahhh Ridgewalker, you will know the right choice for you but I hope you choose us. Anyway you can find hot landscapes any where in the world, at any time

Dale: My Nephew works "front of house" at the pub in Low Newton. It's massively popular. You might quote my surname if you want to get in there! Ask Ollie to look after you.

Dale   on 21/10/18 @ 22:51 said:

Well TrotOn, that’s a good gift you gave us!! I’ve been there loads of times and it is sometimes hard to get a table indoors especially if there’s a few of you. Once I’ve decided what’s what, I may well use this

TrotOn   on 21/10/18 @ 22:57 said:

Dale: You might need to book in sharpish for that period...but quote the above and Ollie will look after you. Mention you are a good friend.....or tip him well

TrotOn   on 21/10/18 @ 23:03 said:

Dale: Great invite....I love Northumberland but am at Ullswater at this time.....My lieu time equates to a well earned holiday! You enjoy your retirement....

Are we booked into pub on New Year's Eve?

Dale   on 05/11/18 @ 23:18 said:

Hi Suz, the New Year tickets for the Lindisfarne Hotel which is just around the corner, was fully booked before the idea emerged. I have spoken to them and they are very happy for us to join them for drinks and live music although they said “ it could be a squeeze”. New Years Eve walk is about 10 miles so we should be back in time to eat early enough and then head around to the bar. The owner of the hostel is very relaxed about the next morning and says we can check out anytime.

Dale   on 05/11/18 @ 23:19 said:
