Will your friend be joining us on March 3rd, Suz?

suz (Suzanne)   on 17/02/18 @ 12:40 said:

yes, if it still goes ahead

suz (Suzanne)   on 17/02/18 @ 12:47 said:

But she is in Farnborough and without a car - and I am over in Essex so coming from wrong direction. Just looked at public transport from Farnborough nd its rubbish so we may have to re-think it.

Suzanne, if I can make this walk, could come via farnborough and collect friend.
Keith, would have a dog with me which would need ferrying one way or the other. I usually find better to get lift in someone’s car before they get too muddy so better for my car to be at end of the walk ;-)

suz (Suzanne)   on 19/02/18 @ 10:51 said:

Ok, well we've sort of put it on hold. So let me know when you know if you can come.

Peregrina   on 23/02/18 @ 16:53 said:

I did the original date with Lizzie D but am thinking of repeating the walk with you as it's so local, or I might just do part of it. In any case, I'll help with shuttling from Brockham to Bletchingly in the morning. Then either walk the whole thing with you or join you later at Redhill. So I'll need shuttling from the finish back to (or near to) my car afterwards. Hope I'm not confusing things.

Keith, will have to withdraw I’m afraid As father in hospital and need to support mother

keith2015   on 25/02/18 @ 15:23 said:

Birdsong: Sorry to hear that. Hope your Dad gets better and that your Mum manages OK, with your support. Look forward to meeting you on another walk sometime.

Suz: I understand that your friend from Farnborough will not be coming on the walk, especially as Birdsong is unable to give the lift she was provisionally offering. Are you still walking yourself? If so, can you join us at the start point please, which is the Bletchingley Arms pub (postcode RH1 4PE), at 10.00? If you're not now joining us, please would you update your walk interest status, so that I get s better idea of who's coming and who isn't? Thanks.

Hi Ingrid: It's good to see that you are likely to join us for what will be a repeat walk for you. With any luck you'll remember most of the route and Rick is now a definite too.

Phil: I'm not sure what your comments 'K' and '???' mean but I take it that they were probably made in error and that anyway you're not walking.

However, I'll be bringing a friend myself so if Adele, Jill and Outdoorsy all join us we will make a nice little group.

Philtheetiler   on 27/02/18 @ 19:49 said:

keith2015: Correct, the K was an error. Also not walking as did this recently under Lizzie 's excellent guidance.

Wysiwyg    on 01/03/18 @ 20:35 said:

I'm sorry Keith but the roads are treacherous around me so I'm going to give it a miss.

keith2015   on 01/03/18 @ 21:56 said:

Hi Jill
Ingrid is giving it a miss too but I'm still hoping to do the walk, especially as Bletchingley is on the A25 and Brockham only just off it (I think). I know you were going to stay with Ingrid but I take it the idea of catching the train to Tonbridge and letting me drive us both doesn't appeal either?

Rick: I'm sure you've got the winter kit. Are you up for this still? If so I'll give you a ring Friday evening to discuss final details, which would probably mean us both driving initially to Brockham and then you driving the two (possibly three, if Roman is still coming) of us to Bletchingley to start the walk.

Adele and Outdoorsy: what about you two?

Bike and Boat   on 02/03/18 @ 14:55 said:

Hi Keith, yes I'm still up for it. I think there is a good chance that all the snow will be gone by tomorrow. I'm happy to wait until the morning to see.
Cheers Ric

Bike and Boat   on 02/03/18 @ 15:01 said:

PS, we can always divert to my house for warming coffee in Reigate.

keith2015   on 02/03/18 @ 22:46 said:

Now that sounds a good idea Ric (if it's not too far off route). We can save the pub till the end of the walk.
I'm still hoping to make it. Roman is coming to my house at 08.00 and we'll see how the car drives on these local roads then (assuming it starts ok) I'll give you a ring to confirm. If anyone else is coming then please ring me before 08.00 if you want a lift back to your car after the walk.
